Today, I had the opportunity to meet another man traveling with us. When I first heard that one of the pilgrims was a Friar, I was very excited. I thought that he would be a good man of the Church that I could have some meaningful conversations with. After talking with him for awhile though, I soon found that I was wrong. This Friar likes to accept bribes from naive churchgoers. He also sells penances to unknowing people who are seeking forgiveness. Overall, I think he is a scam artist and I don’t think that I will be talking to him again.
